CCRES is proud of our partnership with CCIU Home & Community Services, as they provide excellent training opportunities for staff.


Staff Requirements


Therapeutic Staff Support – Probationary:

  • Must complete a total of 43 credit hours of training (within first six months from date of hire), including the following required classes: 15 hour Initial TSS Training (prior to working with a client), Corporate Compliance, CPR/First Aid certification (within first 30 days from date of hire), and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
  • Staff working with clients who are residents of Chester/Lancaster counties must complete the county 15/12 hour Autism Training as part of the above requirement.
  • To reach the total of 43 hours, additional elective courses may be taken.  Outside coursework is unpaid and may be counted towards this requirement with pre-approval.  Maximum number of credits given to any one elective is five.


Therapeutic Staff Support – Regular:

  • Must complete a total of 20 credit hours of training during academic year, including the following required classes: Corporate Compliance, CPR/First Aid certification, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
  • Do not take CPR/First Aid if your certification is current during the academic year.
  • To reach the total of 20 hours, additional elective courses may be taken.  Outside coursework is unpaid and may be counted towards this requirement with pre-approval. Maximum number of credits given to any one elective is five.


Behavioral Specialists / Mobile Therapists:

  • Must complete a total of 10 credit hours of training during academic year, including Corporate Compliance.
  • Must take Role of BSC/MT and Data Collection courses in first year of service only.
  • Staff working with clients who are residents of Chester/Lancaster counties must complete the county 15/12 hour Autism Training and Supervisory Training as part of the above requirement.
  • To reach the total of 10 hours, additional elective courses may be taken.  Outside coursework is unpaid and may be counted towards this requirement with pre-approval. Maximum number of credits given to any one elective is five.


Registration


  • All registration for face-to-face offerings must be completed online at www.mylearningplan.com (Username and password: your initials followed by the last six digits of your SSN.
  • Registration for online courses will be developed at a later date.
  • For outside coursework to receive pre-approval, please visit www.mylearningplan.com and click on Fill-in Forms, then Employee Development.  Be sure to complete this process for all outside coursework approval.

Attendance


  • Please be sure to sign class roster to ensure that you receive credit for attending a course.
  • Paper training records will no longer be used starting July 1, 2008.
  • Classes may be canceled due to low enrollment with one week notice.
  • Walk-ins will no longer be allowed.


Completion


  • Once you have completed all annual training and work requirements, please visit www.mylearningplan.com, print out your training Portfolio and submit that to payroll for reimbursement.
  • CPR/First Aid is not a paid training.
  • Training reimbursement will be paid only up to the number of required credits plus five.
