CCRES is served by an all-volunteer board of directors. They include:
Dr. Ron Farkas has more than 35 years of experience in public education, 22 years as a school psychologist and administrator for the School District of Philadelphia and 11 years as an administrator with the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU). Prior to joining CCRES, he served as CCIU’s Director of Student Services. In this capacity, Dr. Farkas had responsibility for the operations of the Preschool Special Education, Head Start, Young Parents, and Home & Community Services Programs. Dr. Farkas has been a past chair of the PA Psychological Association School Psychology Board. He has been recognized by PPA for Outstanding Contributions to School Psychology; by Temple University through an Outstanding Alumnus Award; and by the Philadelphia Office of MH/MR as a recipient of the Brighter Futures Award. Dr. Farkas maintains a private practice in clinical psychology. He resides in Plymouth Meeting with his wife, Marilyn.
Joseph A. Vaillancourt, Human Resources Director
Previously, Joe Vaillancourt was Human Resources Manager for the Devereux Kanner Center in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Preceding that, he was Executive Director for the Center for Independent Living in Palm Beach County, Florida. Joe holds a Master's degree in business administration from West Chester University. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Southern Maine and has been certified as a Professional in Human Resources.
Christine Daniels, Business Manager
Before joining CCRES, Christine worked at Cephalon, Inc. in the Finance Dept. for three years and at Amkor Technologies in the Finance, Tax and Risk Management Dept. for five years. Christine received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management with a minor in Human Resources from Immaculata University in 2007.
Pennie Simmons, HR Generalist
Prior to joining CCRES in 2003, Pennie worked as an independent consultant and as a Human Resources Manager for a financial services corporation. She worked for two years at CCRES as a TSS prior to moving into the administrative office in 2005. Pennie received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri. Pennie has held the certification of Professional in Human Resources since 2007.
Emily Coon, HR Generalist
Emily began her work with CCRES as an intern and progressed into a full time staff in the Human Resources department. Emily graduated with a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from West Chester University and holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
Katie Bonaquist, HR Administrative Support
Katie worked for Genesis HealthCare in Kennett Square as an accounts payable coordinator for the past two years. Previously, Katie has worked for the Kennett Area YMCA as an instructor and Bank of America as a customer marketing advisor. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business / Marketing from Grove City College.
Jean M. Talucci, Administrative Asistant (part-time)
Jean was employed by the County of Chester for many years serving in numerous capacities involving human resources activities. She ended her County career as Deputy Administrator of the Department of Aging. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies from West Chester University and holds a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Villanova University.
Janice Colozza, Administrative Asistant (part-time)
Janice previously worked for Verizon for 27 years, starting as an administrative assistant and ending her career as a Communication Specialist. She has also worked for the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center.
